How Ayurveda Understands It
Grahani Roga
In Ayurveda, IBS is commonly correlated with Grahani Roga, a condition associated with impaired Agni (digestive fire).
Weak digestion, imbalance of Vata, Pitta, or Kapha, accumulation of Ama (metabolic toxins), improper diet, irregular eating habits, and mental stress may contribute to the development of symptoms.
Our Ayurvedic Approach to Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
We follow a holistic, personalized approach rooted in Ayurvedic principles, to address the root cause of the condition and not the symptoms alone.

Plan
Aahar • Aushadhi • Vihar
Ayurvedic management focuses on identifying the individual's Prakriti (body constitution), Vikriti (current imbalance), digestive strength, diet, lifestyle, and stress levels, and building a personalized treatment plan around what that assessment shows.
Aahar • Aushadhi • Vihar
After understanding the root cause, our Ayurveda expert applies the Trisutra principles to restore Tridosha balance and improve Agni.
Aahar (Diet)
A personalized diet plan — Pathya (what to eat) and Apathya (what to avoid) — is advised during consultation.
Aushadhi (Medicine)
Ayurvedic medicine formulations, based on the root-cause analysis of the condition, are prescribed to patients.
Vihaar (Lifestyle)
Meditation, Marma Chikitsa and other lifestyle actions are advised as per the condition.
Panchakarma (Personalized Therapy)
Shirodhara, Nasya, Shiroabhyanga, Shiropichu and Urdhvang Abhyanga are advised as per the condition.
Many People Start Taking Herbs Such As:
Garcinia, Fenugreek (Methi), Cinnamon (Dalchini), Green Tea
…or other herbal formulations and Ayurveda-based supplements, after watching social media videos, reading online articles, or on the advice of friends and relatives.
However, Ayurveda does not recommend taking medicines without proper root-cause analysis.
