How Ayurveda Understands It
Gridhrasi
In Ayurveda, symptoms resembling sciatica are described under Gridhrasi, a condition primarily associated with aggravated Vata Dosha.
Impaired digestion (Agni), accumulation of Ama (metabolic toxins), and disturbed Vata may contribute to pain, stiffness, and restricted movement.

We follow a holistic, personalized approach rooted in Ayurvedic principles, to address the root cause of the condition and not the symptoms alone.

After understanding the root cause, our Ayurveda expert applies the Trisutra principles to restore Tridosha balance and improve Agni.

A personalized diet plan — Pathya (what to eat) and Apathya (what to avoid) — is advised during consultation.
Aushadhi (Medicine)
Ayurvedic medicine formulations, based on the root-cause analysis of the condition, are prescribed to patients.
Vihaar (Lifestyle)
Meditation, Marma Chikitsa and other lifestyle actions are advised as per the condition.
Panchakarma (Personalized Therapy)
Shirodhara, Nasya, Shiroabhyanga, Shiropichu and Urdhvang Abhyanga are advised as per the condition.
Many People Start Taking Herbs Such As:
Rasnadi herbs (Rasna), Guggulu, Ashwagandha, Nirgundi (Vitex negundo), Eranda (Castor), Dashmoola
…or other herbal formulations and Ayurveda-based supplements, after watching social media videos, reading online articles, or on the advice of friends and relatives.
However, Ayurveda does not recommend taking medicines without proper root-cause analysis.
