How Ayurveda Understands It
Vata Vyadhi
Trigeminal neuralgia is commonly understood under Vata Vyadhi, as aggravated Vata Dosha is associated with severe, sharp, and shooting pain.
According to Ayurveda, factors such as aggravated Vata, impaired digestion (Agni), accumulation of Ama, stress, irregular lifestyle, and depletion of body tissues may contribute to nerve-related pain.
Our Ayurvedic Approach to Trigeminal Neuralgia
We follow a holistic, personalized approach rooted in Ayurvedic principles, to address the root cause of the condition and not the symptoms alone.

Ayurvedic management focuses on identifying the root cause through assessment of Prakriti (body constitution), Vikriti (current imbalance), and the patient's overall health, to develop a personalized treatment plan.
Aahar • Aushadhi • Vihar
After understanding the root cause, our Ayurveda expert applies the Trisutra principles to restore Tridosha balance and improve Agni.
Aahar (Diet)
A personalized diet plan — Pathya (what to eat) and Apathya (what to avoid) — is advised during consultation.
Aushadhi (Medicine)
Ayurvedic medicine formulations, based on the root-cause analysis of the condition, are prescribed to patients.
Vihaar (Lifestyle)
Meditation, Marma Chikitsa and other lifestyle actions are advised as per the condition.
Panchakarma (Personalized Therapy)
Shirodhara, Nasya, Shiroabhyanga, Shiropichu and Urdhvang Abhyanga are advised as per the condition.
Many People Start Taking Herbs Such As:
Ashwagandha, Brahmi, Jatamansi, Guduchi, Turmeric, Shankhpushpi, Ksheerbala Taila, Mahanarayana Taila
…or other herbal formulations and Ayurveda-based supplements, after watching social media videos, reading online articles, or on the advice of friends and relatives.
However, Ayurveda does not recommend taking medicines without proper root-cause analysis.
